Peru Perales Huancaruna

Perales Huancaruna, Peru

Perales Huancaruna (Perhusa) is one of Peru’s most respected coffee exporters, with over 50 years of experience in the specialty market. The company works closely with thousands of smallholder farmers across northern Peru, building long-term partnerships rooted in quality and sustainability.

Their coffees are typically grown at elevations between 1,250 and 1,800 meters above sea level, where slower cherry maturation produces dense, high-quality beans with clarity and structure in the cup.

Perhusa’s commitment extends beyond export. By supporting improved farming practices and helping producers obtain certifications such as organic and bird-friendly, they strengthen both environmental stewardship and farmer livelihoods.

Coffee cultivation in Peru began in the mid-18th century and expanded rapidly in the 19th. Today, it spans approximately 233,000 hectares across 15 regions, positioning Peru as a leading producer of high-quality coffee.
